I know it might be weird, but Beyonce has done some very good things. Like in her music video Flawless, she includes the writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who writes books about feminsism and powerful girls. In the song Flawless, Beyonce lets Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie say a couple of sentences from one of her books, which makes the song even better! In the song, a part that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie says (That is really powerful) is "We teach girls to shrink themselves. To make themselves smaller. We say to girls "You can have ambition. But not too much. You should aim to be successful. But not too successful. Otherwise you will threaten the man" Because I am female, I am expected to aspire to marriage. I am expected to make my life choices. Always keeping in mind that marriage is the most important. Now marriage can be a source of joy, and love, and mutual support, but why do we teach to aspire to marriage. And we don't teach boys the same?" This is mostly saying that before, we girls should have focused more on boys and marriage, but now, more and more girls and women are finding out that what we love to do, is better than marriage itself! We still might fall in love and get married, but we shouldn't put marriage infront of everything in life.
